Welcome
ACCA. Art Collecting is a non-profit Cultural Association that organizes workshops, meetings, events, exhibitions, competitions, residency programs, and scholarships to promote and foster Art Collecting at both national and international levels.
ACCA will serve as a Meeting Point to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices among artists, gallery owners, collectors, various agents of the Art Market, the academic sphere: faculty and students; supporters and the general public interested in Art Collecting.
It will encourage Patronage and Sponsorship initiatives to foster collecting as a means of Promoting Art and Preserving Heritage.
One of the Association’s objectives is to promote the production, exhibition, and dissemination of creative projects, addressing a cultural need to make them more accessible to diverse audiences. The incorporation of technologies into artistic creation is significant, and therefore ACCA’s portfolio will include activities from different artistic disciplines that fall within cyber art.
ACCA firmly believes that art collecting and its significance are a fundamental part of Civil Society in preserving and protecting artistic heritage.
Another of ACCA’s priority objectives is to foster collaboration and create new alliances with entities, public and private organizations, at national and international levels, and with patrons to achieve its aims and objectives.

The V Collecting Conference, organized by the Ministry of Culture of Spain—through the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts—, the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), and the Cultural Association of Art Collecting of Spain (ACCA), together with the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University (UNPHU) and the Center for Caribbean Art Studies (CEAC, Inc.) of the Dominican Republic, is conceived as a reference space to reflect on collecting as one of the essential pillars of culture.
This edition proposes a unique closing in the Dominican Republic, framed within a key moment for local and regional art.
